Our Story

Twenty years on the road.
One year on her own terms.

Danielle Riley grew up watching the desert roll by from the passenger seat of her dad's old Peterbilt. By twenty, she had her CDL. By twenty-five, she was running her own truck. She raised her daughter in truck stops, motel rooms, and the front cab — homework on the dashboard, dinner on the dinette.

For two decades she ran routes for other companies — moving freight for the big logistics names you'd recognize, hauling everything from auto parts to refrigerated produce across all 48 states. She was good at it. Really good. But somewhere between the eighty-hour weeks and the dispatch calls at 3 AM telling her the rate just got cut again, she started doing the math.

"If I'm going to drive myself into the ground, it's going to be for something that's mine."

So in 2025 she did it. She cashed in years of savings, financed a fleet of equipment that fits the gap most carriers ignore — 13' box trucks, pickups paired with 18' trailers, capability for 5th wheels, campers, bumper pulls — and pulled her MC authority. ID Hotshot Transportation hit the road out of Tucson with three trucks and a phone number that she answered herself.

Within months, demand was outpacing what Arizona alone could handle. She opened a second shop in Colorado to put trucks closer to the freight that was already calling. Today, ID Hotshot is small enough to know every customer's name and big enough to move just about anything you need to move — same day, fully insured, and almost always under what the bigger guys quote.

It's a single mom with twenty years of road behind her, a daughter heading off to college, and a fleet that doesn't say no.
